Lincoln K-8

District-Wide School

Welcome to the website of the Lincoln K-8 Choice School Lincoln Program Planning Team (PPT) and Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA).

Lincoln PPT supports the students, staff, and parents/guardians of Lincoln in a wide variety of ways and is responsible for many of the activities that happen at our school.  All Lincoln parents and guardians are members of the PPT simply because their child attends Lincoln, giving ALL parents and guardians voting rights in the business and activities of the PPT.

The PPT sponsors and organizes a variety of programs, events, and fundraisers that greatly benefit our students and the entire Lincoln community.  Social activities sponsored by the PPT include:

  • Back-to-school and end-of-year picnics/socials
  • School dances
  • Pizza and Bingo Night
  • Fall and Spring Book Fair

The PPT also provides financial support for a variety of educational enrichment opportunities and other shool support programs, such as:

  • Lincoln's technology initiatives
  • InSciEd Out science partnership
  • Premium opportunities (aka Tix for Tots)
  • First Lego League teams
  • Science Fair participation
  • School assemblies
  • Staff appreciation
  • Student scholarships
  • Student government
  • The LincolnLincs Online Newsletter
  • Direct classroom support

These activities are just some of the ways the Lincoln PPT helps to make Lincoln K-8 Choice School "The Greatest School in the Universe"!

To continue our success, we need Lincoln parents/guardians and staff to be active members of the Lincoln community by volunteering and participating in the program activities offered by the PPT by helping in the classroom or by volunteering at the school in other ways.  Research has demonstrated that parent involvement increases student success, so get involved!

PPT meetings are a great way to stay informed providing opportunities to become involved in your child's education and help support your school.  PPT meetings are typically held on one Monday every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center.  Dates and times of meetings and other PPT events will be published on the PPT webpage, in the school newsletter (The LincolnLincs), classroom newsletters, and in other school communications.
