What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.  PBIS is a tiered framework that assists schools in identifying and implementing research-based behavioral interventions to improve and support all students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.  Lincoln staff work hard to model, teach, and support positive social skills and peer relationships by focusing on the three core values of respect, responsibility, and safety. 

 

How does PBIS help a student?

PBIS provides students with positive behavior and learning supports that are matched to individual needs.  PBIS also helps provide the framework for a daily school environment that uses consistent teaching and discipline to ensure a safe and culturally responsive learning environment.
