Lincoln K-8

District-Wide School

Guidelines and Application
The Lincoln K-8 Choice School Program Planning Team (PPT), through its Auction, provides our school with a source of funding for special school projects. This is money over and above the amount necessary to support the PPT budget. Special projects can be any project or item that benefits the school.

Examples of previous Special Projects are the leveled library books in the Media Center; the Uppers Book Clubs; the Lincoln School Sign by Highway 14; the sound system in the gym and electronic equipment in the TV Studio; and the Smart Boards in the library, technology lab, and many of the classrooms. Matching funds from Special Project money also helped pay for the outdoor play structure on the playground, the “Big Toy”.

Application Process
Lincoln staff, parents/guardians, and uppers students may submit project ideas by completing and submitting an application. The project proposals are then put through an open consensus decision process for a funding recommendation that is presented to the PPT at an open meeting. During a Consensus Meeting, open to all Lincoln parent/guardians, staff, and the student government president and vice president, projects will be voted on and a decision made on which projects will be funded.

Yes, you! Parents, teachers, and students, all can submit a proposal. No project is too big or too small. We'd love to see a variety of projects submitted for consideration!

Consensus Meeting
You helped raise the money, now please help decide how it gets spent! Come to the annual consensus meeting where we will be guided through the process of creating a proposal that funds items/experiences that will benefit the Lincoln community.
